Local Area Connection
Local Area Network (LAN) adalah jaringan komputer berskala kecil. Saat ini, LAN dapat digunakan melalui 2 cara, cara pertama, LAN diakses melalui IEEE 802.3 yang berjalan pada kecepatan 10, 100 atau 1,000 Mbit/s dan cara yang kedua adalah melalui IEEE 802.11 atau yang sering dikenal dengan teknolog Wi-Fi. Satu terminal LAN dapat diakses dari terminal yang lainnya sesuai dengan ijin yang telah ditentukan.
Dengan menggunakan LAN, anda dapat berbagi berkas, aplikasi atau printer dengan mudah. Selain itu, LAN dapat menyediakan koneksi peer-to-peer ataupun client-server.
Emailing Client that we offer may be used on several workstations in a local area network (LAN). In case additional accounts are installed, this means, that all different users could theoretically access an own mailbox from their PC, as long as it is connected to the LAN. For this purpose, Our Emailing software can be easily configured on the PC connected to the satcom terminal to meet the required of multiple users. The other workstations will be connected by simply creating a link via the connection to PC connected to Satcom terminal and there goes an access of an own mailbox.
When using subaccounts, we recommend to leave the PC connected to Satcom on at all times in order to ensure internal e-mails (between subaccounts) to be delivered instantly. Internal e-mails may be sent and received free of charge, using the full local e-mail addresses including the subaccount names.
